Law enforcement agencies have detained Nazakat Maharramova, who fraudulently stole money from veterans and the poor through a fake TikTok page, Report informs citing the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Thus, the woman had previously been convicted several times for similar crimes.
Maharramova created a fake account “qemgin_20” on the TikTok social network, where she conducted live broadcasts. During the broadcasts, she presented herself as a representative of one of the humanitarian organizations and promised to provide financial assistance to the families of martyrs, war veterans and low-income citizens for a year.
However, to receive this “aid”, the victims had to make an advance payment of 1,000-2,000 manats. Thus, the Ministry of Internal Affairs asks citizens who have suffered from similar actions by Magerramova to report this to the police. Maharramova took possession of the money of several citizens.
A criminal case has been opened on the fact, the investigation is ongoing.
