Resident of Lerik detained with large batch of marijuana and opium

In Lankaran district, police discovered a large batch of drugs smuggled into the country, Report informs citing the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Thus, during the operation to prevent drug smuggling in Lankaran district, resident of Lerik district Nazim Farajov (born in 1978) was detained, with 62 kg of marijuana and opium.

It was established that the detainee organized illegal drug trafficking in Azerbaijan in collusion with Iranian citizens, whose identities are being established.

Farajov, in order not to arouse suspicion, went to the addresses where he delivered the drugs together with his family members.

A criminal case has been opened on the fact. By the decision of the court, a preventive measure in the form of arrest was chosen for the detainee.
