Based on the received appeals, police officers detained a resident of the city of Nakhchivan, 37-year-old Mursal Nuriyev, who fraudulently appropriated money from about 40 people in the amount of 35,000 manat. This was reported by Oxu.Az with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA).
The offender created pages on social networks under the guise of buying and selling housing and deceived citizens, promising assistance in obtaining a mortgage for the purchase of apartments.
Investigative actions are continuing in the Investigation and Inquiry Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic on this fact, a criminal case initiated under the relevant article of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
All victims of M. Nuriyev’s illegal actions are asked to report this to law enforcement agencies.
