As a result of the activities carried out by the employees of the Tovuz Customs Department, the illegal delivery of a large consignment of pyrotechnics and tobacco products to the territory of Azerbaijan was prevented. An X-ray inspection of a cargo vehicle entering the country from Georgia was conducted at the Red Bridge customs post. Since suspicious images were noticed on the monitor, the cargo was subjected to a special inspection.
During the inspection, 247 boxes of various pyrotechnics and 350 boxes of tobacco products that were not declared to the customs authorities were found in the vehicle.
An investigation is underway into this fact.
