SBS: Contraband worth over 4.5 million manats seized at the border last month

Contraband worth 4 million 570 thousand 688 manats was seized at the state border of Azerbaijan in August, Oxu.Az reports with reference to the press center of the State Border Service (SBS). Thus, as part of the fight against illegal drug trafficking, 314 kg 238 g of narcotic substances, as well as 7,248 tablets containing potent narcotic components, were seized from circulation.

1.2 tons of wild hemp were destroyed in various areas of the border territories.

Contraband worth 4 million 570 thousand 688 manats, including American currency, an American-made pistol with a magazine, medicines, alcoholic beverages and tobacco products, were seized during the measures to combat illegal activities.
