Appeal Court’s decision on high treason case

The trial on the appeal against the verdict of Bahruz Samedov, accused of high treason, has ended. As APA reports, the Baku Court of Appeal chaired by Judge Elmar Rahimov made a decision.

According to the decision, the verdict of the court of first instance remained unchanged. Earlier, by the verdict of the Baku Court of Grave Crimes, Bahruz Samedov was sentenced to 15 years in prison.

Bahruz Samedov was detained during operational and investigative activities carried out by the State Security Service (SSS) in August last year. He was accused of collaborating with the special services of Armenia under Article 274 (high treason) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
