Suspects of drug trafficking have been detained in Baku, 17 kg of drugs have been seized, Report informs citing the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The operation to detain was carried out by officers of the 20th and 22nd police departments of the Nasimi District Police Department. 23-year-old Amrah Huseynov, 27-year-old Kanan Mammadov and his 48-year-old friend Idris Melikov were detained. A total of about 17 kg of marijuana, heroin, opium and methamphetamine were seized from them.
The detainees admitted that they received drugs from Iranian citizens, whose identities are being established by the investigation, for further sale.
An investigation is underway into the facts.
