A large batch of drugs was seized at the Julfa customs post

At the Julfa customs post of the Main Customs Department of Nakhchivan, during an X-ray inspection of a vehicle that arrived from the Islamic Republic of Iran and was transiting through the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Republic of Turkey with a cargo of ethylene polymer, suspicious images were found on the monitor, after which the car was subjected to a detailed inspection, Report informs with reference to the Press and Public Relations Department of the State Customs Committee (SCC) of Azerbaijan.

Thus, during the inspection, a particularly large amount of a narcotic drug – marijuana, with a total weight of 63 kilograms, hidden from customs control, was found inside 30 bags of cargo.

An investigation is underway into the fact.
