A trial was held on the criminal case of the former Deputy Head of the Executive Authority of the Gadabay District V.A. and his acquaintance T.B., accused of fraud. As reported by Oxu.Az, at the session of the Baku Court of Grave Crimes chaired by Judge Aygun Gurbanova, at the stage of studying the documents, a decision was made to forcibly bring in witnesses who did not appear at the session, although they were summoned.
At the next session, scheduled for October 20, the interrogation of witnesses whose testimony has not been previously obtained is expected.
It should be noted that the victim in the case was recognized as a resident of the Gadabay District Ch.M. According to the indictment, the accused deceived Ch.M., promising to appoint him head of the education department of the Gadabay District, and received 51 thousand manats from him. T.B. was previously convicted of another fraud. The former deputy head is not currently in custody. During the investigation, a preventive measure in the form of police supervision was chosen for him. Both were charged under Article 178.3.2 (fraud committed with causing damage on a large scale) of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan.
