Trial of former head of State Service Department

The criminal trial of former employees of the Khazar District Department of the State Service for Mobilization and Conscription for Military Service continues in Baku, APA reports. The hearing was held in the Baku Military Court under the chairmanship of Judge Fikret Aliyev, where witness testimony was heard.

Witness Akhmed Akhmedov stated that he paid 22,000 manat to obtain a military ID and be exempt from military service. He claimed that through an acquaintance, he contacted the former head of the department, Ramin Shukurov, after which he underwent fictitious medical examinations and ultimately obtained the military ID. He transferred the money to intermediary Abdulla Aleskerov.

Witness Araz Mammadov noted that the issue of his relative’s military service was resolved for 6,000 manat.

The next court hearing is scheduled for October 1, 2025.
