The trial of Zeyneddin Hajiyev, accused of preparing a terrorist attack, has concluded in Azerbaijan. The case was under the supervision of the State Security Service (SSS), oxu.az reports.
The Sumgayit Court of Grave Crimes, presided over by Judge Ilham Jafarzade, sentenced Zeyneddin Hajiyev, known by the pseudonym “Ammar Azeri,” to 10 years in prison for preparing a terrorist attack with the use of weapons, which was planned in an unspecified closed public place.
Zeyneddin Hajiyev, who was arrested by the State Security Service, was charged under Article 28.214.2.6 (preparation for terrorism motivated by religious hatred, religious radicalism, or religious fanaticism) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
