This year, prosecutors have seized assets belonging to defendants in criminal cases with a total value of over 44 million manat, Report informs, citing an article by Prosecutor General Kamran Aliyev in the Azerbaijan newspaper.
The Prosecutor General emphasized that these seizures concern defendants in criminal cases whose investigations have been fully completed. Over the same period, compensation for material damages in this category of criminal cases totaled 22,860,000 manat.
An additional 4,411,000 manat was transferred to the state budget from individuals who were released from criminal liability.
