The Baku Court of Appeal dismissed the appeal of Hasan Islamov (not his real name), who is accused of fraud, Oxu.Az reports.
According to the indictment, in late May 2023, the victim, Alim Mamedov (not his real name), called his acquaintance, Hasan Islamov (not his real name), and asked him to meet another person to collect 65,000 manat and hand it over to him. However, Islamov took advantage of the situation and pocketed the money.
Therefore, the accused, by abusing trust and deceiving others, committed fraud, causing significant damage. The Baku Court of Grave Crimes sentenced him to 5 years and 6 months in prison.
