Police detained individuals who illegally acquired weapons

Ministry of Internal Affairs officers conducted further operational measures to combat the illegal acquisition, storage, and carrying of firearms and ammunition, APA reports, citing the Ministry of Internal Affairs press service.

One AK assault rifle, 30 rounds of ammunition, and one air pistol were found and seized from Barda resident Azer Gakhramanov. It was established that Gakhramanov received the firearms from his father-in-law, Nazim Gasanov, born in 1959, and brother-in-law, Murad Gasanov, born in 1997, who worked at a restaurant in Khankendi.

A criminal case has been opened.
