A man attempting to sell weapons and ammunition detained

To ensure security in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan, police continue to take measures to prevent the illegal acquisition, storage, and carrying of firearms and ammunition. As reported by Oxu.Az, citing the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, 26-year-old Rashad Salakhov, who temporarily resides in the village of Güney Khirman and works for a construction company, was detained during a raid in the Khojavend district.

In his home, police found two Kalashnikov assault rifles, an Izh hunting rifle, five magazines, and 150 rounds of ammunition.

The investigation revealed that Salakhov found the weapons and ammunition during construction work at sites in the Khojavend district and then hid them in his home for subsequent sale.

The Khojavend District Police Department has opened a criminal case under the relevant article of the Criminal Code. Investigative actions are ongoing.
