Officers of the State Border Service of Azerbaijan (SBS) prevented an attempt to smuggle a large consignment of drugs into the country, Oxu.Az reports, citing the SBS. The incident occurred on October 10. Border guards continue to actively ensure reliable border security and combat the illegal trafficking of narcotics, psychotropic substances, and their precursors.
During investigative operations in the Horadiz border detachment, an attempt to smuggle drugs from Iran using an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) was thwarted.
As a result of the search in the border area, 12 kg 660 grams of marijuana were discovered and seized.
