Over 170 million manat worth of drugs were seized from circulation in the first nine months of this year

From January to September of this year, 6 tons, 696 kg, and 035.353 grams of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances were seized from illegal circulation. Their total value is estimated at 170 million 290 thousand manat. This was stated in report of the State Commission for Combating Drug Abuse and Illegal Drug Trafficking, as informed by Report.

During the reporting period, 2,599,973 wild plant bushes containing narcotic substances were discovered and destroyed across an area of ​​1,201 hectares, organized by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and involving representatives from other relevant agencies. The total weight of the plants was 304 tons, 579 kg.
