Police have detained a man who stole 60,000 manat worth of property from homes in the Guba district, Oxu.Az reports, citing the Azerbaijani Ministry of Internal Affairs. Police received complaints from residents of the district regarding a series of thefts. Following operational activities, officers from the Guba District Police Department detained 36-year-old Roman Mamedshakhov, a suspect in the crimes.
The investigation revealed that he stole 10,000 manat in cash, 40,000 manat worth of gold jewelry, and $7,370 from various homes. Some of the stolen gold jewelry was seized and turned over as evidence.
A criminal case has been opened regarding the incidents, and a court has ordered that Mamedshakhov be remanded in custody.
