Trial of a realtor accused of mass fraud

The trial of Dashgin Mammadov, accused of committing mass fraud against a group of individuals through the TikTok page “Daşqın əmlak ofisi,” has begun in Baku. According to Oxu.Az, the hearing was held in the Baku Court of Grave Crimes under the presiding judge, Roman Alakbarli. The defendant’s personal information was clarified during the hearing.
During preparations for the trial, the court composition was changed, and the case was transferred to Judge Telman Huseynov. Since the case was assigned to a new judge, the trial was postponed until November 5 for review of the materials.
It is noted that individuals who believed the company’s TikTok ads launched by well-known bloggers claim to have lost their money in the hopes of buying a home. According to them, the company’s director, Dashgin Mamedov, embezzled large sums of money from more than 100 individuals.
He is charged under Article 178.3.2 (fraud causing significant damage) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
