The State Border Service of Azerbaijan prevented the smuggling of over 14 kg of drugs

The State Border Service of Azerbaijan thwarted an attempt to smuggle 14.1 kg of narcotics into the country. As the agency told Report, the operation was conducted jointly by officers from the Lankaran Border Department and the Astara District Police Department.

During the joint operation, a BYD vehicle with license plate number 99-PC-617 was stopped as it attempted to flee the scene. The drivers were Azerbaijani citizens Emin Jafarov and Neman Rakhmatullayev. Both were detained on suspicion of involvement in drug smuggling.

A criminal case has been opened, and investigative measures are underway.
