Six drug dealers detained, 21 kg of marijuana seized

Six men involved in illegal drug trafficking have been detained in Baku, Report informs, citing the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The operations were carried out by officers from the Main Drug Control Department in the Absheron, Surakhani, Sabunchu, and Khazar districts of the capital.

All those detained (Araz Firidunbeyli, Arzu Huseynov, Nahid Mansimov, Vusal Aliyev, Shamistan Rafili, and Adil Aghazade) had previously been convicted of various crimes.

A total of 21 kg of marijuana enriched with psychotropic substances, as well as 600 methadone tablets, were seized from them.

The investigation established that the detainees conspired with Iranian citizens, whose identities are currently being established, and planned to sell the drugs to various addresses in Azerbaijan.

Criminal cases have been opened on the facts, and the court has ordered the arrest of those detained.
