A theft suspect detained

A theft occurred yesterday at a gym in Baku’s Khatai district, Oxu.Az reports, citing the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA).

According to reports, an unknown individual broke into the establishment that morning and stole clothing and sports equipment worth 8,500 manat, as well as a computer. The victim reported the incident to the police.

Law enforcement officers identified and detained 41-year-old V. Mammadov, who has multiple previous convictions for similar crimes, on suspicion of committing the aforementioned crime.

An investigation is underway.
