Over 7,000 drug-related crimes identified in Azerbaijan

From January to October of this year, 7,030 drug-related crimes were identified in Azerbaijan. According to Report, this was reported in a report by the State Commission for Combating Drug Abuse and Illegal Drug Trafficking.

Of these, 2,232 were related to the illegal sale of narcotics, 4,611 were related to the illegal acquisition and possession of narcotics, 185 were related to the illegal cultivation of narcotic plants, and 2 were related to other crimes in this category.

Based on the identified facts, a total of 7 tons 263 kg 229.113 g of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances were seized from illegal circulation, of which 6 tons 446 kg 419.462 g were marijuana, 281 kg 848.682 g were heroin, 143 kg 956.179 g were opium, 75 kg 167.942 g were hashish, 153.551 g were cocaine, 181 kg 415.261 g were other narcotic drugs, and 134 kg 268.036 g were psychotropic substances.
