A man accused of large-scale fraud will appear in court

A preparatory hearing was held at the Baku Grave Crimes Court in the criminal case against Nahid Shamshirov, who is accused of attempting to commit large-scale fraud. As reported by Oxu.Az, during the hearing, chaired by Judge Elmin Rustamov, the defendant’s personal information was clarified. Following this, the court decided to refer the case for trial on the merits.
The hearing is scheduled for December 10, 2025.
N. Shamshirov has been charged under Articles 29, 178.2.1; 29, 178.2.2; 29, 178.2.4; 178.3.2, and 310 of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan.
He is the cousin of former MP, former chairman of Azerbaijan Railways CJSC, and current Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Transport Javid Gurbanov.
