A Russian citizen who was on the international wanted list has been extradited, Oxu.Az reports, citing the press service of the Prosecutor General’s Office of Azerbaijan.
According to the information, the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation has requested the extradition of Russian citizen Mikael Kostanovich Mundschein (born 1984), who is accused of fraud and was placed on the international wanted list in 2023.
Based on the Convention “On Legal Assistance and Legal Relations in Civil, Family, and Criminal Cases” of October 7, 2002, the decision to extradite the accused was made, and he was handed over to authorized Russian authorities, accompanied by a special convoy from the Penitentiary Service of the Ministry of Justice of Azerbaijan.
