A trial has been held in the criminal case brought by the State Security Service (SSS) of Azerbaijan against Aslan Hasanov, who is accused of financing terrorism and participating in a criminal organization.
According to oxu.az, the verdict was announced in the Ganja Court of Grave Crimes, presided over by Judge Bahruz Muslimov.
The court sentenced the defendant to 11 years in prison.
According to the prosecution, Hasanov, a member of a criminal organization created abroad to commit serious and especially serious crimes, participated in ensuring its sustainable operation and carried out the orders of its leaders, including those related to the financing of terrorism.
It is noted that charges were brought against him under Articles 214-1 (financing of terrorism) and 218.2 (participation in a criminal organization) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
