The head of a customs port post arrested in a corruption case

Farid Usubov, the head of the port post of the Main Customs Administration for Maritime Transport and Energy Resources, has been detained in Azerbaijan. According to Report, he was detained in connection with a criminal case opened by the Main Anti-Corruption Department of the Prosecutor General’s Office.

The press service of the Prosecutor General’s Office confirmed the arrest and noted that additional information would be provided soon.

Farid Usubov is the son of Lieutenant General Jabrail Usubov, former deputy head of the Special State Security Service.
