A final decision made regarding an Azerbaijani man who served as an ISIS accountant

A decision has been made on the cassation appeal against Mirjalal Salahov and his brother, Mirjavad Salahov, who were arrested in an operation conducted by the State Security Service and accused of financing terrorism as members of the ISIS terrorist organization. According to APA, the decision was announced at a hearing chaired by Judge Ilgar Gylyjov in the Supreme Court.

According to the decision, the first-instance court’s verdict was upheld, and the cassation appeal and protest were dismissed.

As a reminder, the Baku Grave Crimes Court sentenced Mirjalal Salahov and Mirjavad Salahov to 10 years and 6 months in prison each.

The Baku Court of Appeals upheld the verdict.
