Officers from the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for Combating Narcotics continue large-scale operations to curb illegal drug trafficking, APA reports, citing the Ministry of Internal Affairs. During the latest operations in the capital and the regions, previously convicted individuals Saddam Asadov, Emin Balakishiyev, and Emin Aliyev were detained. 47 kilograms of marijuana and the psychotropic substance methamphetamine were seized from them.
It was discovered that the detainees obtained the drugs through criminal contacts with Iranian citizens, whose identities have not yet been established.
A criminal case has been opened. A court has ordered the detainees to be remanded in custody. Investigative actions are ongoing.
