The indictment against the journalists implicated in the Meydan TV case has been announced. As reported by Oxu.Az, during a hearing at the Baku Grave Crimes Court, presided over by Judge Ayten Aliyeva, a motion was granted for the defendants to be present with their lawyers in the courtroom.
Lawyer Zibeyda Sadigova, noting the high public profile of the trial, emphasized that the defendants are journalists and petitioned for permission for media representatives to film the case. However, the court denied the petition.
The trial then continued with the reading of the indictment. The next court hearing is scheduled for January 16, 2026.
