The case of retired serviceman Bashir Bashirov, accused of fraud by abusing citizens’ trust, has been transferred to the Baku Military Court for trial. According to oxu.az, the case has already been accepted for trial and a preliminary hearing has been scheduled.
According to the indictment, Bashir Bashirov, by making various promises and abusing citizens’ trust, embezzled funds amounting to over 312,000 manat. Eight people have been recognized as victims in the case.
Bashirov was detained and brought into investigation based on citizen complaints. He is charged under Article 178.3.2 (fraud causing large-scale damage) of the Criminal Code. During the investigation, he was placed under arrest. The criminal investigation into Bashir Bashirov, who is currently in custody, was initially conducted by the Military Prosecutor’s Office, but the preliminary investigation was then transferred to the Prosecutor General’s Office.
