A robbery suspect has been detained in Goychay, Report informs, citing the Ministry of Internal Affairs press service. An unknown masked man broke into a local resident’s apartment at night and, threatening the homeowner with a bladed weapon, demanded he reveal the location of his money.
As a result of investigative measures conducted by officers from the Goychay District Police Department, 38-year-old Farid Garibov, who has previously been convicted of multiple offenses, was detained on suspicion of committing the crime. A search of his residence also revealed the discovery of approximately 5 kg of marijuana.
A criminal case has been opened, and the court has ordered the defendant to remain in custody.
