Over 6 kg of drugs were found in Tovuz, Report informs, citing the Ganja regional press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
As a result of the operations carried out by officers of the Tovuz Regional Police Department, drug couriers Eshgin Alekperov, a previously convicted felon, and Seymur Zeynalov were detained.
During a search of E. Alekperov’s residence, 3 kg 200 grams of marijuana and 3 kg 350 grams of hashish were discovered.
The investigation revealed that these individuals were importing narcotics into the country for the purpose of sale.
A criminal case has been opened, and the detainees have been remanded in custody.
