The indictment was read in court for those accused of plotting an assassination attempt on a religious figure

A court hearing was held in the criminal case opened by the State Security Service against Narmina Shabanova, Elvin Akhmedov, and Naib Ismiyev, accused of attempting to assassinate a religious figure.

According to APA, the indictment was read at a hearing chaired by Judge Vugar Seyidov at the Baku Grave Crimes Court. The next hearing is scheduled for February 26.

The defendants were detained as a result of an operation conducted by the State Security Service. Narmina Shabanova and Naib Ismiyev are charged under Articles 28 and 277, while Elvin Akhmedov is charged under Article 228.2.1.
