Internationally wanted individuals extradited to Azerbaijan

In accordance with the requirements of the Convention on Legal Assistance and Legal Relations in Civil, Family, and Criminal Matters of October 7, 2002, the Prosecutor General’s Offices of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Kazakhstan granted the requests of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Azerbaijan to extradite Azerbaijani citizens Ruad Mammadov, Khayal Askerov, and Zaur Ayyubov.

According to Oxu.Az, this was reported by the Prosecutor General’s Office of Azerbaijan.

Substantiated suspicions of fraud causing significant damage were established against R. Mammadov and H. Askerov. Therefore, orders were issued to charge them. Since R. Mammadov and H. Askerov absconded from the preliminary investigation, they were placed on the international wanted list. The individuals in question were detained in the Russian Federation and transported to Azerbaijan under a special convoy from the Penitentiary Service of the Ministry of Justice.

Furthermore, in the criminal case being heard by the Yasamal District Court, Z. Eyyubov, a defendant in the theft causing significant damage, was placed on the international wanted list. He absconded from the court. He was detained in Kazakhstan and transported to Azerbaijan under a special convoy from the Penitentiary Service of the Ministry of Justice.
