Law enforcement agencies in Baku have detained two couriers who, instead of delivering packages containing cosmetics to the client, appropriated them for resale, Report informs, citing the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The incident occurred in the Yasamal district. The victim contacted the police, reporting the theft of cosmetics worth 1,800 manat. Following an investigative operation, police detained A. Alizade and Z. Rustamzade, suspects in the crime.
The investigation revealed that 50 boxes of cosmetics ordered by the victim were sent to him through a delivery company.
The detainees, who worked as courier services for this company, stole some of the packages. In their statements, they stated that they sold the stolen cosmetics.
