Two individuals placed on the international wanted list have been extradited to Azerbaijan. According to Oxu.Az, the Prosecutor General’s Office of Azerbaijan announced this.
In accordance with the requirements of the Convention of January 22, 1993, “On Legal Assistance and Legal Relations in Civil, Family, and Criminal Matters,” the Georgian Ministry of Justice granted the requests of the Prosecutor General’s Office of Azerbaijan to extradite Abulfat Ismayilzade and Amal Azizov.
According to the investigation, these individuals are suspected of committing crimes under the relevant articles of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan. Orders have been issued to charge them, and they have been placed on the international wanted list for evading investigation.
They were detained in Georgia and transported to Azerbaijan under a special escort from the Penitentiary Service of the Ministry of Justice.
