Over 858 kg of narcotics destroyed in 25 criminal cases in Azerbaijan

Over 858 kg 631.899 grams of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances have been destroyed in Azerbaijan as part of 25 criminal cases, Report informs, citing the State Commission to Combat Drug Abuse and Illicit Drug Trafficking.

According to the report, a total of 858 kg 631.899 grams of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances, as well as 4,745 tablets and 240 packets of potent drugs, were destroyed by incineration.

A total of 453 kg 924.517 grams of heroin, 394 kg 224.36 grams of marijuana, 2 kg 245.25 grams of opium, and 5 kg 224.72 grams of hashish were destroyed. In addition, 3,002,052 kg, 22,139 tablets, and 1,056 ampoules of psychotropic substances, as well as 4,745 tablets and 240 packets of potent drugs, were destroyed.

The total value of the destroyed narcotics exceeds 52 million manat.
