The trial of Abdulsamad Atayev and Elnur Rafiyev, accused of financing terrorism in Syria, has concluded. As reported by Report, the verdict was read at a hearing at the Baku Grave Crimes Court, chaired by Judge Vugar Guliyev.
By the court’s decision, Abdulsamad Atayev and Elnur Rafiyev were sentenced to 10 years in prison. They will serve their sentences in a maximum-security correctional facility.
It should be noted that Abdulsamad Atayev and Elnur Rafiyev were detained as a result of an operation conducted by the State Security Service (SSS) of Azerbaijan and were charged under Article 214-1 (financing terrorism) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
