The Binagadi District Court heard a petition from the investigative body to extend the pretrial detention of Zulfugar Mansurov, Deputy Head of the Department for Control over the Management and Effective Use of State Property of the State Property Service, Oxu.Az reports. The court granted the petition, extending his pretrial detention until May 30. Mansurov had previously been remanded in custody for three months and 28 days.
Earlier, the Main Anti-Corruption Directorate under the Prosecutor General conducted a special operation in the Garadagh District Executive Authority (EA). Deputy Head of the EA, Nadir Muradov, Chief Advisor of the District Economy Department, Gafar Abdullayev, and Z. Mansurov were arrested.
They were charged under Articles 32.5, 311.3.1, 311.3.2, 311.3.3 and 313 (accepting a bribe, abuse of office, forgery, etc.) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
