Officers from the 22nd Station of the Nasimi District Police Department conducted another operation to combat drug trafficking and illegal drug sales, Oxu.Az reports, citing the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
During one operation, Elman Imanov, a 61-year-old resident of the capital and a previously convicted felon, was detained. 4 kg 745 grams of marijuana were found and seized from him.
In another operation, Taleh Bagirov, a previously convicted felon, was detained. Heroin, opium, marijuana, and methamphetamine, packaged for sale, weighing a total of 8 kg 413 grams, were found and seized from him.
It was discovered that E. Imanov and T. Bagirov, having entered into a criminal relationship with an Iranian citizen, whose identity is being established, planned to store the drugs at various addresses.
Criminal cases have been opened on all the facts, and by court decision, arrest has been chosen as a preventive measure for the detainees.
