Police arrest fraudster

Officers from the Agsu District Police Department arrested 31-year-old Khayala Kerimova for online fraud, in which she defrauded citizens and embezzled their money.

According to Oxu.Az, citing the press service of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Internal Affairs, she posed as an employee of a government agency and promised victims social benefits and subsidized housing upon advance payment. Thus, Khayala Kerimova received over 8,000 manats.

A criminal case has been opened, and an investigation is underway.
