A criminal case initiated against a lawyer

A criminal case has been opened based on a complaint filed against lawyer Javidan Osmanli. According to Oxu.Az, the victim, Aygun Magerramova, filed a complaint with the Narimanov District Police Department, claiming to be the victim of fraud.

According to reports, she met with lawyer Javidan Osmanli last July to defend her rights in a case being heard in the appellate court.

It is alleged that Javidan Osmanli promised A. Magerramova that her apartment would be returned based on a decision by the Surakhani District Court, took 21,200 manat from her, and handed her a forged writ of execution, allegedly from the court.

A criminal case has been opened on this fact under Article 320.1 (falsification or illegal production for the purpose of use of an ID card or other official document granting rights or releasing from a position, or the sale of such a document, as well as the production or sale for the same purpose of a counterfeit state badge, stamp, seal, letterhead of the Republic of Azerbaijan) of the Criminal Code.
