Over 42 kg of drugs seized, arrests made

Over 42 kg of drugs have been seized from illegal circulation in the Garadagh district of Baku, Oxu.Az reports, citing the Azerbaijani Ministry of Internal Affairs. During the operation, officers from the Main Anti-Drug Department detained two individuals suspected of organizing drug trafficking.

The detainees, 39-year-old Gurban Aliyev and 41-year-old Eshgin Humbatov, were found in possession of 42 kg 235 g of marijuana laced with harmful substances, as well as 500 methadone tablets.

It was established that they were involved in drug trafficking within the country, primarily involving young people in drug trafficking.

A criminal case has been opened, and the court has ordered the arrest of the detainees.
