As a result of an operation conducted by officers from the Main Directorate for Combating Narcotics of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), over 49 kg of drugs were seized in the republic, Report informs, citing the MIA.
During the operation, 34 kg 875 g of marijuana laced with harmful substances was found on the detainee, 35-year-old Allahshukur Ismailzade, and 14 kg 700 g of marijuana laced with harmful substances was found on the previously convicted 29-year-old Jeyhun Sultanov.
It was established that the detainees purchased the drugs for the purpose of sale.
Criminal cases have been opened, and the court has ordered the detainees to be remanded in custody.
