As a result of search and operational measures, Azerbaijani border guards prevented an attempt to import 55 kg 574 grams of drugs from Iran into Azerbaijan, Report informs, citing the State Border Service of Azerbaijan. The measures were carried out on the service territory of the Goytepe Border Detachment of the Border Troops Command.
According to the service, 23 kg 300 grams of marijuana were discovered and seized on April 23 at 5:25 PM, and 32 kg 274 grams on April 26 at 2:45 PM.
Investigative measures regarding these incidents are ongoing.
