During operations conducted in Baku by officers from the Main Anti-Drug Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), Javid Zamanov, Ehtiram Abdullayev, and Ilkin Bakhshiyev were detained, Oxu.Az reports, citing the department.
They were found in possession of 71 kg of opium, marijuana laced with harmful substances, and 13,000 methadone tablets. It was established that the detainees were drug couriers acting on behalf of foreign drug traffickers.
A criminal case has been opened, and a court has ordered the detainees to be remanded in custody.
Law enforcement efforts to combat drug trafficking continue.
