An Indian citizen detained in Azerbaijan for organizing the illegal trafficking of 354 kg of heroin

An Indian citizen detained in Azerbaijan and placed on the international wanted list has been extradited to his country, Oxu.Az reports, citing the press service of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
According to the information, the Prosecutor General’s Office has submitted a petition to the Baku Court of Grave Crimes for the extradition of Indian citizen Singh Prabhdeep Gurraj (born 1993), who was placed on the international wanted list by Indian law enforcement agencies on charges of organizing the illegal trafficking of 354 kg of heroin.
It is noted that this individual was identified in Azerbaijan and has been remanded in custody.
Based on the Treaty between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of India on extradition dated April 4, 2013, a corresponding decision was made regarding Singh Prabhdeep Gurraj, and he was handed over to the competent authorities of the requesting state, accompanied by a special convoy of the Prison Service of the Ministry of Justice.
