An attempt to smuggle a large consignment of drugs from Iran to Azerbaijan prevented

As a result of a border search and operational activities conducted on the service territory of the Goradiz border detachment of the Border Troops Command, an attempt to illegally import narcotics from Iran to Azerbaijan was prevented.
According to Oxu.Az, citing the State Border Service, drugs weighing a total of 11 kg 985 g were discovered and seized, including 7 kg 885 g of heroin and 4 kg 100 g of methamphetamine, as well as 20 tablets of the psychotropic drug Methadone M-40.
Investigative actions are ongoing regarding this incident.
