Border guards prevented the smuggling of 32 kg of drugs from Iran into Azerbaijan

Azerbaijani border guards have foiled an attempt to smuggle over 32 kg of drugs from Iran. As reported by Oxu.Az, citing the State Border Service of Azerbaijan, as a result of operational and investigative measures carried out in the territory of the Lankaran Border Detachment of the Border Troops Command, an attempt to smuggle 32 kg 365 g of narcotics (27 kg 65 g of marijuana and 5 kg 300 g of heroin) from Iran into Azerbaijan, as well as 7,200 tablets of the psychotropic substance methadone M-40, was foiled.
Investigative measures regarding this incident are ongoing.
